The Network connects professionals from different countries and disciplines to strengthen primary care, update knowledge and clinical management, and facilitate patient referral, especially among mobile populations. It is also a space for researchers and health teams to meet and support one another, with a shared goal: improving the quality of life of affected people.

Principles that guide our work

Equity in access

Ensure that everyone affected by Chagas can access timely, quality diagnosis and treatment.

Quality and continuous improvement

Strengthen the capacities of health teams and promote evidence-based practice.

Governance and regional coordination

Foster cooperation between countries, institutions and sectors to align strategies and accelerate the elimination of Chagas as a public health problem.

Objectives

Our purpose is for people living with Chagas disease to have equitable access to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, whatever their context.

  1. Connect and articulate health system actors, from primary care to reference centres and laboratories, to promote a comprehensive approach.
  2. Strengthen health teams' capacities through continuous training, guidelines and unified protocols, and promote learning and technical-clinical exchange networks.
  3. Support patients throughout their care journey, reducing access barriers and health inequalities.
  4. Share scientific evidence that guides decision-making and helps improve health policies and practices.
  5. Drive innovation in processes, technology and access to medicines, facilitating the adoption of sustainable solutions regionally and globally.
  6. Influence public policy through joint work between institutions, sectors and countries.
